What Our Client Say

After a total knee replacement, I needed a few months of PT. I am so glad I chose Advance Physical Therapy & Wellness. The atmosphere is informal (but spotlessly clean!) and welcoming and all the therapists are excellent. Each has her own personality and approach, and I enjoyed getting to know them all and hearing their varying but complementary perspectives on my recovery. I felt that I was in good hands throughout the process. I would definitely go back for any musculoskeletal issue I may have in the future. Thanks, Advance Physical Therapy & Wellness!

Tracy struggled with chronic low back pain and sciatica. He underwent a multilevel lumbar fusion and laminectomy, but both surgeries proved unsuccessful as his pain continued to radiate from his lumbar spine down his left lower extremity to his foot. He began a course of physical therapy a year following his most recent procedure with a third procedure scheduled upon his return to his home state up north. After 5 weeks of traditional physical therapy interventions including myofascial release, stretching, strengthening, and deep laser therapy with very little relief, we discussed the option of dry needling. After one session, he came back the very next day stating “70% of my pain is gone, I feel like I could dance” and proceeded to schedule a session every single day the next week. By his 5th dry needling session he was completely pain-free and had called his orthopedic surgeon to cancel his upcoming surgery. Integrative Dry Needling differs from classic dry needling in that it addresses more than simply musculoskeletal trigger points. Integrative Dry Needling utilizes concepts of neuroanatomy to identify underlying homeostatic neurotrigger points in addition to both active and latent musculoskeletal trigger points. If you or anyone you know suffers from muscular or neurogenic pain, call our office for a free consultation. Video Editing: @keystarr__ www.David Kiester.com

I have a history of lower back pain. I had surgery in 2017, laminectomy and disecetomy. I have been fighting pain on and off since then. I recently re injured my back with severe pain. Just after 2 visits receiving dry needling (procedure I have never had done before) with Dr Tania Schmitfranz I am amazed at the reduction of pain and the increase in mobility. Almost pain free. I never would have believed I would be able to go back to work so soon. Dr T and staff are great! Highly recommend!

Dr. Tania Schmittfranz has allowed me to continue working out at a high level without limitations. I am a relatively new CrossFitter and the increase in exercise has come with some aches and pains. The treatment I have received from Dr Schmittfranz has decreased pain and soreness and allowed me to achieve my fitness goals. Treatment I received – I had Achilles tendinitis from high volume jumping movements. I was experiencing calf muscle pain and cramping. I had two sessions with Dr Schmittfranz that greatly alleviated the pain and allowed me to get back on the box. I had elbow tendon pain (Tennis elbow) from high volume pulling movements like pull ups and muscle ups. In the past when I had this from softball/baseball, I had to take time off. Needling from Dr Schmittfranz provided immediate relief and allowed me to get back to working out in a shorter time period. She provided guidance on exercises to do at home and answered my 1,000 questions. I had upper trap pain and tightness, Dr Schmittfranz graston therapy helped reduce tightness and dry neddling provided longer term relief. I no longer have this issue. As a result of the elbow tendon pain and the trap pain, I had some nerve pain running from my shoulder to my hand. This was immediately relieved by dry needling. I experienced a tingling sensation in my hand from the needles she had placed in my arm and after that passed I felt relief and the nerve pain went completely away. I didn’t have any experience with dry needling or graston treatment prior to my first visit. Dr Schmittfranz made me feel comfortable and all around I had a great experience. I highly recommend going to see Dr Schmittfranz, such a great experience! Thank you!

Tania is the best. I had serious right shoulder pain lasting over two years. I had several doctors tell me I needed to stop working out. They also told me I should never do CrossFit again. I saw another PT for months who never gave me pain relief. When I found Tania I FINALLY had pain relief. After a few sessions I was pain FREE. Something I haven’t felt in forever. I continue to follow her for little tweaks here and there. I also have seen her for hip issues and was pain FREE with one session. I didn’t know what to think of dry needling… but I’m a full believer and I tell everyone to try it! If you have pain, go see this rockstar of a woman!

Almost a year of dealing with chronic shoulder pain which caused my arms to tingle and go numb daily, I finally found rapid and lasting relief with Dr. Tania’s dry needling technique (and Taro’s snuggles). Dr Tania is friendly, knowledgeable and very skilled in her practice. As a fellow athlete, she understands the stress my body is under at the gym and helped me navigate relief without telling me to “just stop working out” as other providers have told me before. She made me feel comfortable during each treatment session and followed-up afterwards to see how I was feeling. I would highly recommend Dr Tania’s services to anyone struggling with pain or discomfort.
